"Proud of Miss Lacie! This girl succeeds at everything she does."
"In honor of Lacy!"
As many of you know, Lacie was born with a radial club hand. While researching doctors, therapists and support groups, we ran across this page on Facebook called NubAbility Athletics. After doing a little more research on NubAbility, we knew it was something that we wanted Lacie to go to.
Two years ago, our little family traveled to DuQuoin, Illinois to take part in Lacie's first Nub Camp. We were all really nervous. As Lacie's parents, we were so excited because we knew all the positives that could come from such an experience. We knew that it would be good for Lacie to be around other limb different children and for her to see others excelling while also having a limb difference. Since attending camp, Lacie has not said ANYTHING NEGATIVE about her difference. She has embraced her difference in a way that any parent would hope and pray for. Lacie is much more confident because of NubAbility. She has been able to make friends whom she looks up to. The NubAbility coaches and staff are always available for her (or us) if we have questions or if Lacie is having a hard time with something. We could go on and on about the impact this camp has had on Lacie and MANY other kids. I encourage you to take a few minutes to look at the pictures from our weekend in Illinois and to look up this wonderful organization on facebook or youtube. http://www.youtube.com/channel/UCgGMOjX9dIr6ckjDqhnfMvQ
In an effort to help raise money for our family and other families to be able to attend Nubability Camp I am asking you to join us in supporting real change. Let's support good in the world and make a difference. Help us to promote COURAGE and CONFIDENCE in SPORT and in LIFE for our sweet Lacie, many other children, and for the NUBABILITY ATHLETICS FOUNDATION! Just a small donation will go a long way in helping to meet our goal for NUBABILITY ATHLETICS FOUNDATION!!!
